Hello everyone,

Today we are releasing Fenice 3.5.1 for both Phones and PCs. This update is focused on improving your experience with many tweaks to the user interface (and behind the scenes). Let’s take a look at what’s new:

Black theme

This version introduces a new theme, black! From now on this will be the default theme when you launch Fenice for the first time. Don’t worry, Dark and Light themes are still there!

New OOBE experience

We’ve completely redesigned what you see when you start Fenice for the first time, the experience is much cleaner and faster and displays only what matters.

Continuum improvements

This release includes many improvements and fixes while using the app on a big screen via Continuum. The app now should better adapt to screens and will display settings tailored for the current experience.

Small changes to improve the experience

While using this version, you’ll notice how some small changes can make a big difference. For example, while composing a tweet you’ll now have users and hashtag suggestions directly in the appbar so they won’t be covered anymore by the keyboard on small screens.

We’ve also changed the way the hamburger menu highlights the selected item, now it looks way cleaner.

This is just a small part of what’s included in this update. We hope you’ll like it.

We’ve just pushed the publish button so it could take a while before this new version is available to download. As always let us know your feedback via mail or Twitter.

A.
